What we collect

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies and does not track you across other sites.

If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message. We use them only to reply to you. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam, which checks your browser without tracking you for advertising.

Weather data

Our crowd estimate uses the Japan Meteorological Agency forecast for Nagoya. Our own server fetches it and passes it to your browser, so your browser does not connect to the Agency and no information about you is sent to it.

Maps

The castle map's background images come from CARTO. Our own server fetches them and passes them to your browser, so your browser does not connect to CARTO and no information about you is sent to it.

Links to booking sites

Some links go to booking sites such as Asoview. If you click one, those sites may set their own cookies. Their privacy policies apply on their sites. If we add affiliate links, we will mark them on the page.

Legal basis

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom: we reply to your messages because you asked us to, and we count visits and keep the site secure because we have a legitimate interest in running a reliable, secure site.

Where your information is processed

We are based in Japan. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process the information above on servers outside Japan and outside your country, including in the United States. Messages from the contact form are delivered to us in Japan.
